As you embark on your Felucca Ride on the Nile in Aswan, you’ll be greeted by a seasoned captain who skillfully maneuvers the boat using ancient techniques and modern navigation tools. The gentle breeze rustles through the sails, creating a soothing melody as the boat glides effortlessly through the calm waters of the Nile. It’s a moment of tranquility, allowing you to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life and embrace the serenity of the river.

As the Felucca sets sail, you’ll be surrounded by breathtaking views of Aswan’s iconic landmarks. The Temple of Philae, perched gracefully on an island, is a testament to the ancient Egyptian civilization. The High Dam, a marvel of engineering, majestically spans the river, controlling its flow and providing electricity to the region. These sights, intertwined with the Nubian villages dotting the riverbanks, create a harmonious blend of natural and man-made wonders that leave a lasting impression.

During your Felucca Ride, you’ll have the opportunity to engage in lively conversations with fellow travelers, locals, and your knowledgeable captain. As the boat gently glides, discussions may touch upon Aswan‘s history, the Nubian people’s customs and traditions, or the Nile’s significance in Egyptian mythology.

In the late afternoon, a tour guide will pick you up at your hotel in Aswan and take you to where the felucca is waiting for you on the Nile. Get on your boat and lie down on the pillows. Enjoy the calm and peace of the Nile, which has been Egypt’s lifeblood since the Pharaohs’ time. As you float gently down the river, have a cold drink.

The Felucca will sail to Lord Kitchener’s Island, part of the Aswan Botanical Garden. In the 1890s, when Lord Horatio Kitchener was in charge of the Egyptian army, he was given the island as a gift. Lord Kitchener loved palm trees and other beautiful plants so much that he turned the whole island into a beautiful botanical garden by bringing in plants from the Far East, India, and parts of Africa. On 6.8 hectares, it has been transformed into a garden paradise with walkways overlooking exotic trees and plants. It was later given to the Egyptian government, which used it to study various crops for food and money.

Wander among the beautiful bougainvillea, majestic royal palm trees, Sabal Palm Tree, Sonic Palm Tree, and Ficus trees. Relive your flight and watch the sunset slowly over the trees of Botanical Island, near Elephantine Island, and the Tombs of the Nobles in Aswan, with a beautiful reflection of the dunes over the Nile. Return to the Nile and take a taxi to your hotel in Aswan.
